FORDHAM UNIVERSITY Triple A WFUV/NEW YORK shifts its SUNDAY afternoon line-up by expanding JOHN PLATT’S folk show “SUNDAY SUPPER” to two hours  (4-6p (ET)) as of FEBRUARY 5th. The 4p hour was recently vacated when veteran host BOB SHERMAN ended his 54-year run with folk show “WOODY'S CHILDREN.”

PLATT said, "I'm very excited to make the two-hour version of 'SUNDAY SUPPER a 'Super Supper.' I'll be able to dig deeper into new artists and old faves across multiple genres, while continuing to honor the wonderful legacy of 'WOODY'S CHILDREN.'"

WFUV PD RICH MCLAUGHLIN said, "JOHN PLATT'S passion, knowledge and commitment to folk music has been on display for decades, and helps explain why the community considers him a steward of the genre. Adding a second hour to the show means no more rushing through our 'SUNDAY SUPPER'!"

The long-running show, which began as “SUNDAY BREAKFAST,” has been on air since 1977, when PLATT took over for CHRISTINE LAVIN. PLATT was recently inducted into the FOLK ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL Conference's DJ Hall of Fame. The conference takes place this week through FEBRUARY 5th in KANSAS CITY, MO.
